Thought to have been constructed in the late-fifteenth century, this castle was initially home to the O’Donoghue clan and has a history of changing ownership throughout the history of the Irish Rebellion. It is open for tours but is expected to see heavy traffic during peak seasons. The average length of a tour is about an hour with the last group of people allowed in is at 45 minutes before close. Parties larger than nine have certain restrictions. Please call for further information.
